You work in UK/Australian government contracting, defence, or an organisation that has standardised on PRINCE2. You value a prescriptive methodology over a body of knowledge.

Practitioner note

Genuinely valuable. Some senior PMs hold both. If forced to choose one and you are in India / GCC / Middle East, PMP is the safer bet by market demand.
