PMI-SP FAQ

The essentials.

What every candidate asks before enrolling.

Ask on WhatsApp
What is PMI-SP?
PMI-SP (PMI Scheduling Professional) is a specialised PMI credential for professionals whose primary role is planning and scheduling. It signals scheduling expertise deeper than what PMP covers.
Do I need PMP before PMI-SP?
No. PMI-SP has its own eligibility path. However, many professionals hold both because they complement each other.
Is PMI-SP useful for Primavera P6 planners?
Very. PMI-SP validates the methodology behind the tool. Combined with Primavera P6 proficiency, it makes a planning engineer resume dramatically stronger for EPC and infrastructure roles.
What is the pass rate?
PMI does not publish official pass rates. Expect scenario-heavy questions requiring genuine scheduling experience, not just memorised formulas.
