What is PMI-ACP?
PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) is PMI\'s multi-framework agile credential. Unlike CSM or PSM which focus on Scrum only, PMI-ACP covers Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, and hybrid approaches.
PMI-ACP vs CSM vs PSM — which is best?
CSM/PSM are Scrum-only. PMI-ACP is broader and preferred by large enterprises and consulting firms running hybrid projects. If your work involves multiple agile methods or hybrid delivery, PMI-ACP has an edge.
Do I need PMP before PMI-ACP?
No. PMI-ACP has its own eligibility path. Many professionals hold both because PMP covers predictive delivery and PMI-ACP covers agile / hybrid.
Is PMI-ACP relevant for EPC or construction?
Increasingly yes — especially in sectors like power, renewable energy, and data centres where hybrid delivery is common. Pure EPC construction remains predominantly predictive.
